Weekly trash & recycling update Jobs, jobs, jobs! 22nd Street Updates What we're reading ICYMI (in case you missed it) SOSNA Meetings this week Friends of Carpenter Green Park on Wednesday, August 12 at 7:00p (call-in link) SOSNA Economic Development on Thursday, August 13 at 7:00p (call-in link) TRASH & RECYCLING UPDATES FOR THE WEEK OF AUG. 10 Set your trash & recycling collections out one day behind schedule this week.  On Monday, August 10, crews will focus on collecting recycling that has accumulated at the curb. Hold all Monday trash collections until Tuesday.  &  On Tuesday, August 11, regular trash & recycling collections will resume and be one day behind schedule for the remainder of the week. The deadline to register or to update your registration is Oct. 19. Clean Up Kits Available at SOSNA SOSNA is now providing clean-up kits to those who wish to clean-up their block on a more regular basis.  Each kit will include a trash grabber, a bag holder, black contractor bags, and cloth gloves.   If you are interested in getting one of these kits, please email addiejohnston940(at)gmail(dot)com so we can keep track of where these kits are checked out.   Become a PHS Tree Tender Learn about tree care and planting by participating in a PHS Tree Tenders training this spring. This eight-hour course offers topics including tree biology, identification, planting, and proper care. You will be joining one of the nation’s oldest, most respected volunteer urban tree-care programs. Fundraiser for Sanitation Worker PPE The City has not provided enough PPE for our sanitation workers so they've started a t-shirt fundraising campaign to be able to purchase their own PPE and cleaning supplies until more is provided.
