Discuss Quality of Life Issues with District 17 Police Officers
From the SOSNA calendar:
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Thursday 4/24 we are
having a special PSA1 meeting with the police targeting "quality of life" issues
in the neighborhood. The Lieutenant, 2 Sergeants and a patrol officer will be
there and want people to come with specific complaints and issues - including
noise, unruly neighbors, litter, graffiti, dog poop, loitering, you name it.
While continuing to address crime, the police want to increasingly focus on
issues that will make the neighborhood a better place to live. There will also
be discussion of how the police use the Real Time Crime Center - very
high-tech!

Triangles Fundraiser
From SOSNA's Facebook page:
More fun neighborhood events! As you may be aware, the expansion of
Catharine Thorn park at 23rd and South has been scheduled for a six-month
trial starting with PlazaPalooza (May 3). We need to raise funds to pay for
the outdoor furniture, planters, and
other various decor to fill the plaza during the trial. Please come out
and party with your neighbors on April 19th at the parking lot at 23rd and
Bainbridge Street from 1pm to 5pm.
We'll
be having an Easter egg hunt and setting up a bounce house, so bring the
kids! All proceeds go towards the expansion of the fountain park
expansion.
We are also having a voter registration drive.
Bring five newly registered voter applications and get in for free!

Spring at the Triangle
Spring clean-up today and we turned on the fountain!
We also planted a new Redbud tree thanks to our friends at Grace Tavern.
And we took down the snowflakes that lighted up our dark winter nights.

Plans for the Lot East of Jamaican Jerk Hut
Naked Philly has renderings of what's going into the lot to the east of Jamaican Jerk Hut. The developers are proposing a five-story, 32-unit mixed-use building for the site. View the plans and read more here.
Green Aisle Grocery
The former home at 2241 Grays Ferry Ave of Betty's Speakeasy and the former home of Juice! will be getting a new occupant -- Green Aisle Grocery. Read about it on Naked Philly here.
According to Naked Philly, "In case you're not familiar with the Green Aisle concept, they offer a small selection of high-end grocery items, focusing on local suppliers. Their motto is 'Know where your food comes from,' which we suspect will be embraced by the Rittenhouse/Fitler/Graduate Hospital set."
It's still a few weeks before they move in. Let's wish them well.
