Spring Events Update

 
After a long winter the neighborhood is buzzing with life! April is set for a strong finish with some great events on our radar. Included below is a diverse selection of happenings sure to offer something for everyone.
 

APRIL 19th - Paint the Plaza

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Grays Ferry Triangle 23rd and South

The good folks at the Grays Ferry Triangle Project are seeking volunteers THIS Sunday to help paint the plaza! To celebrate the one year anniversary of the Triangle Plaza at 23rd and South, SOSNA is pleased to announce that a mural will be painted onto the asphalt of the plaza to further beautify this great community space! APRIL 22nd - Conversation with the 2nd District Candidates

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Chester A. Arthur auditorium

Join us for an evening of conversation with Second Councilmanic District Candidates Kenyatta Johnson and Ori Feibush. The event will be moderated by WNYC reporter, author of the "Christie Chronicles" and neighborhood resident Matt Katz. This event is brought to you jointly by the South of South Neighborhood Association and the South Street West Civic Association. The event will be held in the Chester A. Arthur auditorium. APRIL 25th - 2nd Annual FoCA Night Out

7:00 PM - The Rock School - 1101 S. Broad Street - Philadelphia, PA 19147

Friends of Chester Arthur’s Night Out is a chance for parents, teachers and community members to gather, socialize and support local Philadelphia public education. Proceeds from a silent auction will benefit FoCA and the Playworks Program at Chester Arthur School.
