Happy Halloween South of South! Friends & Neighbors, Our friends at Center City Residents Association are holding a Costume Contest tonight from 4-7pm!  Please stop by Filter Square (23rd and Pine) during trick-or-treating. Costume Contest winners can earn prizes for their schools!  Tomorrow, SOSNA's Safety Committee will be holding a bike registration event at Catharine Park! If you have a bike and would like to register it with the 17th Police District's Bicycle Registry, stop by between 10am and 12pm.  Last Sunday, the Grays Ferry Triangles Committee held a festive Pumpkin Painting Event at the Triangles Plaza- this Sunday there will be a Clean-up and Winter Plainting! The clean-up starts at 10am, please come and help us prepare the Triangles Plaza for another season of fun events and activities! The Friends of Julian Abele Park will be holding their monthly meeting at the SOSNA office on Tuesady, November 4th at 7pm. On the agenda will be good news on a bike rack project that is currently underway, and an update on the garden shed project.  SOSNA's Community Impact Committee will be meeting at the SOSNA office on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30pm. Please plan on attending if you would like to participate in SOSNA's fundraising and holiday toy/coat drive efforts! Lastly, have a very happy and safe Halloween!   Events Bike Registration Event - November 1st Have a bike? Want to register it with the 17th Police District as part of the Bicycle Registration system? Come to Catharine Park (22nd & Catharine St) on Saturday, November 1st from 10 am to 12 pm to register your bike! Officers from the 17th Police District will be on-hand, as will members of the SOSNA Safety Committee to help you through the process. DROP BY FOR JUDGING AT FITLER SQUARE, 23RD & PINE 4:00 TO 7:00 PM FRI OCT 31 WHILE TRICK OR TREATING - IT'LL TAKE 2 MINUTES! WINNERS EARN $50 PRIZES FOR THEIR SCHOOLS PRIZE CATEGORIES: UNDER 2 YRS TO 12 YRS OLD Events Community Impact Meeting Join the Community Impact Group at 6:30pm on the first Thursday of each month at the SOSNA Office, 1901 Christian Street. Our group focuses on promoting an awareness of SOSNA’s services and resources within the neighborhood and to coordinate with local civic associations, residents and institutions on developing ways to “give back “ to the community and facilitate community-building events. Come help us plan more community events for SOSNA - socials, block party, community awards. Everyone's welcome!
