Treasures at the Rosenbach, WED, 11/7,
6:30PM, CITY INST. LIBRARY, 19TH & LOCUST
The Rosenbach Museum
& Library has made front page headlines more than once this year. First,
there was a merger with the Free Library Foundation (not to be confused with the
city operated Free Library) and a name change to the Rosenbach of the Free
Library of Philadelphia. Then there was the recent return of the Maurice Sendak
collection. What rare and fascinating treasures remain on Delancey Place, and
what will you find as you go through the house? Derick Dreher, the director of
the Rosenbach, will be speaking at the Branch Library. He will tell you about
this neighborhood gem which is visited by scholars, neighbors and visitors from
around the world. The program is presented by the Friends of PCI
Library.
