SWCC 5K Run This Saturday & Recycling Bins Are In at SOSNA Office Friends and Neighbors,  This Saturday is the Southwest Center City 5K Run through our neighborhood! There is still time for advanced registration,either online, at Ten Stone this evening from 6-8pm, or at Philadelphia Runner on Friday from 12-6pm. This great neighborhood event is family, stroller, and Halloween costume friendly so come on out to run or to cheer on your neighbors! Also, please note that police will be blocking off streets the morning of the race until about 10:30am. Anyone who wants to use their car that morning can use the race map to find an unaffected street to park on. There will be absolutely no parking allowed on 22nd street between Carpenter and Montrose or alongside the garden blocks on 22nd, 23rd, and 24th street. Cars parked in these specific areas will be towed, so please plan ahead! This weekend is also pumpkin painting at the Grays Ferry Triangles! Please join us on Sunday October, 26th from 1-3pm to decorate a pumpkin and enjoy a festive frozen yogurt special from the Igloo! Tonight is the Police Community Meeting at the SOSNA office. The meeting will be followed by a Town Watch Group Patrol walk through the neighborhood. Dogs are welcome to accompany members on walking patrols!  Lastly, RECYCLING BINS ARE IN AT THE SOSNA OFFICE! Please join us Sunday, October 26th for pumpkin painting from 1-3PM at the Triangles! Our friends at the Igloo are offering a special deal on their delicious pumpkin yogurt swirl.         Events Bike Registration Event - November 1st Have a bike? Want to register it with the 17th Police District as part of the Bicycle Registration system? Come to Catharine Park (22nd & Catharine St) on Saturday, November 1st from 10 am to 12 pm to register your bike! Officers from the 17th Police District will be on-hand, as will members of the SOSNA Safety Committee to help you through the process.      News SOSNA Has Recycling Bins In Stock! As of October 23, 2014 SOSNA has recycling bins in stock! If you are in need of a bin please come to the SOSNA office during our office hours.
