SOSNA gives out a Higher Education Scholarship and Michelle Cutner Award that contributes $1,000 and towards tuition for a college-bound high-school senior from the neighborhood and $100 for each an exemplary student at both Chester A. Arthur and E.M. Stanton Elementary Schools. The Scholarships reward both excellence in and out of the classroom and dedication to the community.

Who's Eligible? Our Michelle Cutner Award is awarded by SOSNA to a Chester A. Arthur Elementary School and E.M. Stanton student who exemplifies outstanding service to the school community, campus, and neighborhood in the spirit of Michelle Cutner.

SOSNA Higher Education Scholarship

Who's Eligible? A scholarship opportunity for a high school senior who resides in the neighborhood (south side of South Street to the north side of Washington Avenue and the west side of Broad Street to the Schuylkill River) and plans to attend a 2-year or 4-year college in Fall 2018.

SEEKING: Work Study Student
Our Vision Zero Committee is in search of a Work Study Student (graduate or undergraduate student eligible for Federal work study funds through their College or University) for a Neighborhood Project Assistant position from May - August 2019.

Join a SOSNA Committee. SOSNA has six active committees that hold open public meetings every month. These committees develop and implement initiatives on an ongoing basis.
