Celebrate Community Gardens Day at the Schuylkill River Park Community Garden

Celebrate summer's arrival at the Fifth Annual Community Gardens Day. Across the city, 60 vibrant and unique community gardens and shared open spaces welcome you to participate in an array of engaging activities for all ages- from garden tours, workshops and demonstrations to music, kid's activities and BBQs. Visit a garden and learn about the many social, health and environmental benefits community gardens provide our city.

Of course the Community Garden will be open for the event, and the Committee is asking gardeners to weed and tidy up their own plots beforehand - anything you can do in advance to weed the pathways and sweep around the cistern, the front and side gate areas, and the Parkside Plantings pathways would be very much appreciated. They also encourage you to be around the garden for a bit during the event to share your community garden experience!
