SOSNA TOUR OF UNION BAPTIST CHURCH
|
|
|
In partnership with Union Baptist Church (UBC), local artist/urban farmer Meei Ling Ng is creating the UBC Garden of Eden with
an Art installation that would provide fresh vegetables, flowers and
fruits to the soup kitchen and guests, attracting
volunteers/neighbors/visitors to visit the church and garden. This
project has the potential for community building and creating
educational program for growing, cooking/healthy eating and lifestyle
classes, art instruction and more.
Longtime neighbor and colleague, Meei Ling and the Trustees of UBC have invited us for a tour of the Garden of Eden and the Church
(it's gorgeous inside, and it's where Marian Anderson went to church).
We'll also have the chance to talk with Church trustees and the women
who have been running their long-standing soup kitchen about ideas to
use food to bring our community together.
