This Week at SOSNA: Triangles Summer Music Series & Safety

Friends & Neighbors,
Join us on Thursday, May 21st for the first addition of the Triangles Summer Music Series! Every Thursday night we'll have live music and a food truck in the Triangles Plaza from 6-8pm! What better way to get out and enjoy the spring weather with your friends, family and neighbors than at the Triangles?
The SOSNA Safety Committee Meeting will also take place this Thursday, the 21st at the SOSNA office. We're launching a new initiative focused on the implementation of our neighborhood's Walkability Plan. The goals of this initiative are to foster a safer and more pleasant pedestrian environment, to educate citizens about healthy streetscape design, and to create city-wide awareness of innovative traffic calming that incudes pedestrian and bicycle safety measures. The Walkability Plan recognizes the value of walking and proposes ways to improve conditions for neighbors and pedestrians that bring vitality to the South of South neighborhood. SOSNA is in need of more interested volunteers to help implement walkability projects, join us on Thursday to help with this effort!
Lastly, we'd like to thank all who participated in Plazapalooza on May 16th! It was an absolute blast! We had an amazing group of volunteers who helped all throughout the day. Remember, SOSNA is a volunteer organization and we welcome more enthusiastic neighbors to join us in planning events and community projects! We'd also like to thank all of our Plazapalooza sponsors! With the support of these local businesses and organizations we were able to hold this great community-building event!
