A Sense of Where We Are

In our neighborhood at least, things seem to have settled down a bit, most notably due to the twin arrivals of vaccines and Spring. Seems a good time to exhale(!) and take a look around.

And so what do we see?

As always, the lay of the land Philadelphia constitutes a unique blend of past, present and future, often side-by-side if not on top of one another.

Architecturally alone, the colonial past lives cheek-by-jowl with the very modern present and the future yet to come. (Think the Laurel across the Square from homes built in the 1700’s.)

And so while even on a good day it can all be a bit headspinning, would we really want it any other way? Nah. Certainly not in this neighborhood. It’s too much damn fun.

Leftovers No More. Check Out “Too Good To Go”
No doubt you’ve found yourself musing “I wonder what happens to all the food left over at a restaurant when it closes for the evening”. Unfortunately, it is typically thrown away.

Introducing “Too Good To Go”, a service (and app) that makes that end of-the-day grub available to consumers for roughly one-third the normal price. The eateries win, the consumers win, and it’s good for the environment.
