 PHILADELPHIA HOME IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS

Attention Philadelphia Homeowners:

PHDC's Basic System Repair Program (BSRP) and Adaptive Modification Program (AMP) are taking applications!

In mid-March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BSRP and AMP placed a hold on accepting new applications. The hold has been lifted, and we are now accepting new applications.

Applications can be done via online, mail, or phone (phone hours are still limited due to the pandemic).

Basic System Repair Program
BSRP provides repairs to correct electrical, plumbing, heating, structural and roofing emergencies in eligible owner-occupied homes in Philadelphia. Income guidelines do apply. If you would like to know what repairs are covered, and if you qualify, please visit: https://phdcphila.org/residents/home-repair/basic-systems-repair-program/

Adaptive Modification Program
AMP is designed to help individuals with permanent physical disabilities live more independently in their homes. It provides adaptations to a house or an apartment, allowing easier access to and mobility within the home. Incomes guidelines apply for AMP as well. If you would like to know what adaptations are covered, and if you qualify, please visit: https://phdcphila.org/residents/home-repair/adaptive-modifications-program/

 GENERAL ELECTION 2020

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Voting is one of the most important things U.S. citizens can do. Our city benefits when everyone makes their voice heard.

Whether voters choose to vote by mail or at the polls, all voting options are safe, legitimate, and secure.

This post below will cover how Philadelphians can:

  • Apply to vote by mail-in or absentee ballot
  • Turn in a mail-in ballot
  • Vote at the polls

Remember, it is recommended that if you are sending any applications or ballots through the mail, make sure to mail them EARLY.

  • October 19 is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania.
  • October 27 at 5 p.m. is the last day for your county office to receive mail-in and absentee ballot applications
  • November 3 is the day of the General Election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. As long as you are in line by 8 p.m., you will be able to vote. Voted mail-in and absentee ballots must also be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

If you have any other questions, the Philadelphia City Commissioner’s website provides useful information for voters regarding upcoming elections. You can also visit VotesPA for any statewide updates and general information about voting in Pennsylvania.
