Fun Times at the Fall Festival
Thank
you to all who came out to the Fall Festival last Saturday. Many stopped
by our table to discuss the issues going on in the neighborhood with
Captain Hooven of the 9th District. Captain Hooven reported that the
thief who had been actively breaking into residences in the neighborhood
had been apprehended, so that particular issue should be addressed for
now.
Our
cheese ball contest. was a big hit--over 50 people entered to play! One
little girl guessed 16 cheese balls were in the container--when asked
by one of our board members why she guessed 16, she responded that 16
was as high as she could count! (The winning number was 740--she had a
way to go!)
We hope you enjoyed meeting and talking with our CCRA volunteers and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.

Dedication of Convergence Mural
Tuesday, October 29, 1-2 PM
Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, along the banks of the Schuylkill River just north of South Street Bridge
Mural Arts Philadelphia dedicates Convergence on the facade of the AT&T building by noted Philadelphia artist Rebecca Rutstein. This
mural soars above the Schuylkill River and the popular Schuylkill Banks
multi-use trail. The mural features a vibrant geometric design at the
intersection of art, science, and technology and is Rutstein's first
mural. The team of muralists painted the side of the building while
suspended in the air on a swing stage. The
mural is located on the AT&T building, at South Street and the
Schuylkill Banks, but the location above is the best location for a
photo opportunity to see the installation.
