Filming in the Neighborhood Friday July 26
A local production company is filming scenes for an upcoming television series in the neighborhood on Friday, July 26th, 2019. To make filming possible the following streets will be permitted as "NO PARKING" zones.
Thursday, July 25th, 9:00 PM to Saturday, July 27th, 2:00 PM

Volunteers Opportunities at The Bethesda Project
The Bethesda Project is looking for volunteers to help with the deep clean at Trinity Church on Wednesday, July 31, 1pm. This
is a chance to be a good partner with one of their winter church
shelters, and also a chance to work closely with shelter guests and get a
special "inside" look! Let me know if available.
They
are looking for a few more volunteers to serve as a Computer Lab
Attendant at Our Brothers' Place. This involves opening up the computer
lab so guests can access housing resources, apply for jobs, etc. It is
pretty laid-back, occasionally assisting guests but no upper-level
technology experience needed. The schedule can be flexible, but we are
ideally looking for individuals that can commit to a couple hours on a
weekday morning.
Looking
for small groups to cook and serve meals at our Safe Haven and
Permanent Supportive Housing! This would involve bringing food,
cooking, and interacting with our residents in a communal meal.
In
addition to t-shirts, shorts, and belts, they also have a high need
right now for wallets and new women's undergarments. Drop off at Our
Brothers' Place (907 Hamilton Street) at any time!

"Sounds of the Revolution" Series of Free Musical Performances, Saturdays thru August 17
Every Saturday through August 17 starting at 11 a.m., the Museum of the American Revolution will host Sounds of the Revolution, a series of free musical performances and hands-on demonstrations inside the Museum and on the outdoor plaza. 7th annual Philadelphia Young Pianists' Academy Festival
Organized by Ching Yun Hu, center city concert pianist, offers musical events every day, Friday August 2 to Sunday, August 11.
