Revenue Neutral Tax Bill
On
Monday, June 3, 2019, CCRA President Maggie Mund testified in front of
the Committee of the Whole in favor of the revenue neutral tax
legislation for both the city and school district, Bill 190318 and
190319. These bills have been previously summarized in this
e-newsletter, and a copy of her testimony may be found here.
The committee also heard testimony on Bill 190317, legislation that
would increase the amount of the Homestead Exemption to $50,000, a
$10,000 increase. Bills 190318 and 190319 were not voted out of
committee, and a compromise raising the homestead exemption to $45,000
was reached.
