BalletX Artist Spotlight at 1923 Washington Avenue | Wednesday, Jan. 16 at
5:30pm-7:00pm

BalletX will host an Artist Spotlight event, moderated by Anne White (Assistant
Professor, UArts School of Dance), and featuring choreographer Nicolo Fonte, 2019
Choreographic Fellow Katarzyna Skarpetowska, and the BalletX dancers.
The event begins with a short open rehearsal of excerpts from ballets by Fonte and
Skarpetowska, premiering March 6-17 at The Wilma Theater. The choreographers will
discuss their work and careers with the event moderator before taking questions from
the audience.

BalletX, led by Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, produces original
choreography that expands the vocabulary of classical dance for all audiences. The
dancers of BalletX have been named “among America’s best” by The New York Times.
This free public series is made possible by generous funding from the Wyncote
Foundation.
