Get to Know the SOSNA Community Benefits Agreement With all the recent conversation related to the projects at 2101 and 2201 Washington Avenue, SOSNA wanted to provide some clarity around the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that was presented to OCF.   What is the purpose of the CBA? As with all development projects in the neighborhood, SOSNA is dedicated to providing a forum from which neighbors can voice their opinions and ask questions. In the case of 2101 and 2201 Washington Ave, two projects that are rarely matched in size and impact on the neighborhood, the SOSNA Board of Directors decided a CBA was an appropriate way of sharing the neighborhood’s consolidated feedback on the projects. SOSNA ZONING MEETING 2201 Washington Avenue Monday, October 15 7:00 - 8:30p Location: Shiloh Baptist Church, 2040 Christian The Zoning Committee, a standing committee established by the SOSNA Board, holds monthly meetings to discuss all applications for zoning variances within the SOSNA boundary area. The purpose of the Zoning Committee Meeting is to provide a public forum for the discussion and review of all zoning variance applications occurring within the SOSNA boundary area. Through these meetings, residents of the SOSNA area are able to provide direct neighborhood input into this important civic decision-making process. All Zoning Committee Meeting attendees who reside within the SOSNA boundary area will have the opportunity to express their opinions by registering one of the following responses to each project: ‘support’, ‘not-opposed’ or ‘opposed’. RSVP It's Soup Group season!  Sign ups for 2018/2019 Soup Group will start TODAY and will close on 10/24. You will be matched with your group by Halloween! WHAT’S A SOUP GROUP? A collection of folks who take turns making a big batch of soup to share. WHY JOIN A SOSNA SOUP GROUP? • LOTS of soup with minimal effort and a chance to taste new recipes! • Opportunity to meet and get to know your neighbors! HOW DOES A SOUP GROUP WORK? About 5 people will rotate with one person making a big pot of homemade soup on a weekly basis. The other group members come to pick up their share at a set time. Everyone gets a homemade soup for their household each week, but only has to cook once every 5 weeks. Group members often chat and trade recipes during the weekly pick up. SOSNA will facilitate convening groups based on dietary preferences and then you can decide what works best for your group in terms of frequency, batch size, pick up times...
