Public Meeting/Listening Session: Lombard/South Protected Bike Lane Project, Mon, 7/17, 5:30Pm, The Philadelphia School, 2500 South Street
The City is hosting a listening session on protected bicycle lanes for Lombard, South, and 27th Streets.  For the city's flyer and more information, click here.
Bike Lane Dividers: the Results Are In from Email Comments!
We asked for emails about proposed bike barriers for Lombard and South. We received many thoughtful responses. Neighbors on the impacted blocks are 4-2 against.  Neighbors elsewhere are 25-5 in favor. A detailed write up with people's comments is on our website, click here.

Clarification:  Reviewing the emails, there seems to be confusion on whether vehicle loading is legal in bike lanes.  It is, according to the Bicycle Coalition website.  ("On streets with right-hand bike lanes, the bicycle lane is the proper load/unload position for vehicles." "The bike lanes are the legal loading/unloading zone for delivery trucks and private vehicles dropping off people or cargo.")
