From the SOSNA Facebook page:
"SOSNA will be hosting a community meeting on Thursday, March 30, at 7pm
regarding the redevelopment of 1524-34 South St., also known as The
Royal Theater. Universal Companies owned this historic building since
2000 and had been working with Dranoff Properties on a redevelopment
plan. Robert Roskamp purchased the property from Universal last fall and
is pursuing a by-right development that will entail the preservation of
the building's facade on South Street,
57 apartment units and a large retail space in a mixed-use building on
South Street, and a row of seven townhomes on Kater Street. OCF Realty
will be managing the construction of the project. This project will go
to Civic Design Review (CDR) in April, where an appointed advisory
committee will review various design elements of the project. This
public meeting is being hosted as a requirement of the CDR process. To
find out more about this important project in our neighborhood, please
come to the meeting, which will take place at the SOSNA office at 1901
Christian Street."
