District 17s Police District Advisory Council (PDAC)

Captain O'Donnell, newly installed at the 17th District, attended the monthly Police Service Area 1 crime watch meeting. When asked what we could do to help him, he said that the Police District Advisory Council (PDAC) needs representation from our Police Service Area. If interested, contact the 17th district at 215-686-3170.

From the City's web site:
"The Police District Advisory Council or "PDAC" as it is known, was formed in the early 1990's to create a liaison between the Police Department and the community. Currently, 21 of 23 police districts have PDAC programs in operation, consisting of volunteers from the community and representatives from the District Attorney's Office.

Each PDAC holds monthly meetings to discuss issues affecting the quality of life within its district. Each PDAC elects officers who represent the PDAC at periodic meetings with the Police Commissioner and members of the Police Command Staff."
