Free Organ Concert, Sun, 3/12, 3-4pm, at Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion, 2110 Chestnut St.
The
Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion will host a free organ concert by
Wesley Parrott, assistant Wanamaker organist. He will be playing
selections from François Couperin, Franz J. Haydn, J. S. Bach, Felix
Mendelssohn, Louis Vierne, and Margaretha Christina de Jong. In order to
fundraise for the vital repair of the church's Hook & Hastings Opus
726 organ the concert will be followed by a tea reception and a 50/50
cash raffle. While it is a free concert, there will be a "freewill" offering.

The
Friends of Schuylkill River Park Tree Tenders is accepting applications
for free street trees to be planted by volunteers next April. Help make
