EV Parking Survey Results
Our
electric vehicle survey had 73 responses, 60 of whom were members. 41
(57%) opposed dedicated EV parking. 15 (21%) supported it if charging
were available to the general public and 14 (19%) supported the existing
program. 2 (3%) had no opinion. Comments emailed to the office
included one EV owner, who explained that it cost $15,000 to install
curbside charging while an opponent noted that often only one side of
the street could benefit.

Office Closure
In observance of the Presidents' Day Holiday, CCRA is closed Monday, 2/20, and will reopen on Tuesday, 2/21.

Trash Collection
In
observance of the Presidents' Day Holiday, there will be no trash
collection on Monday, 2/20. Collection will resume on Tuesday, 2/21.

Community Garden Plot Lottery
Each
year five garden plots (four 10x10 and one 10x15) in the Schuylkill
River Park Community Garden (located at approximately 25th and Spruce
Streets) are awarded to non-members of CCRA for a one season term. To
be eligible, candidates must be bona fide residents of CCRA's
geographic boundaries, defined as residing in the area encompassed by
South Street, Broad Street, John F. Kennedy Boulevard and the Schuylkill
River. Winners pay a one-time fee of $65 for a 10x10 or $85 for a 10x15.
To enter the lottery, please submit a postcard, letter, or email
with your name, residential and email addresses, and phone number to
the following address (NOTE: requests MUST include your residential
address and email):

Requests must reach the destination by March 6, 2017. The drawing will take place in early March and winners will be contacted by phone or email. One entry per household.

CUBA's Malpaso Dance Company makes its Philadelphia Debut Now thru February 19 NextMove Dance, Prince Theater, 1412 Chestnut
Malpaso
Dance Company, one of Cuba's hottest and newest multi-cultural
contemporary dance troupes, performs two full-company works showcasing
the company's Cuban roots, virtuoso technique and artistry. 24 Hours
and a Dog is a 40-minute work choreographed by Osnel Delgado (Artistic
Director Co-Founder/Malpaso). Set to the theatrical and evocative music
by Grammy Award-winning jazz composer Arturo O'Farrill, 24 Hours is
inspired by the daily life of a dancer in Havana -- the rhythms of
everyday life and a mysterious invisible character of a dog.
Performances take place tonight,
Thursday, February 16 at 7:30pm; Friday, Friday February 17 at 8pm;

Lane Closure on the South Street Bridge thru 2/28
CHOP has secured a permit from the Philadelphia Street Dept. for a
temporary lane closure on the South Street Bridge that will allow them
to load materials on the South Street Plaza. The intermittent closures
will take place starting today, through 2/28 on an as-needed basis. Any
deliveries will be limited to the hours between 10:00am - 2:00pm to
avoid impacting rush hour traffic. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained
but detoured to the opposite side of the street at controlled
intersections.

Get your Tickets to The Museum of the American Revolution, Wed, 2/22, 10am-12pm, 3rd and Chestnut St.
The Museum of the American Revolution will open to the public on Wednesday, April 19. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, February 22 ONSITE at the Museum, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. At noon that day, tickets go on sale online. Starting Wednesday, February 15,
members of the Museum of the American Revolution can reserve their
timed tickets online, using member ID, for Members' Preview weekend,
Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. It is not too late to join the Museum.
