Don't miss the 58th Annual Center City Residents' Association (CCRA) Fall House Tour, Sunday, October 23rd from 1 to 5 pm, rain or shine.  Eleven spectacular Rittenhouse and Fitler Square homes including a solar powered all electric home in Fitler Square, and a gem on the "secret" block of Center City, Ringgold Place.  We are grateful to this year's tour sponsors:  AMC Delancey; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP; Allan Domb Real Estate; Clemens Construction; Dranoff Properties;  Robin Apartments; and Solar States.
 
The self-guided tour begins at Trinity Church, 22nd & Spruce Streets or Beth Zion Beth Israel at 18th & Spruce Streets.  Participants receive a day-of-tour 15% discount for dinner at area restaurants (reservations suggested), including  Audrey Claire, Crow & The Pitcher, LaFontana Della Citta, and Twenty Manning Grill.

Free Tickets to 58th Annual House Tour, Sun, 10/23, 1-5PM

Volunteers needed to docent beautiful homes and condos from 1:00PM to 3:00PM or from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.  Greet tour goers, protect household items, and foot traffic.  Free ticket to use before/after your volunteer assignment.  If you wish to volunteer, email centercity@centercityresidents.org.

Graciously following up on the offer he made as our Annual Meeting speaker, Philadelphia Managing Director Mike DiBerardinis will answer your questions here in a monthly INSIDE CITY HALL feature.  Email questions to centercity@centercityresidents.org (include "Inside City Hall" in the subject).  CCRA will share them with "Mike D", who will decide what questions to answer.  Answers will be brief, due to space limitations. The larger the group of people affected by your questions the better. CCRA reserve the right to select/edit questions.

Art Exhibition, Thurs, 10/27, 5-7pm, C.R.Ettinger Studio, 2215 South Street

The C.R. Ettinger Studio Gallery invites you to the opening of a new exhibition of etchings by artist José Ortiz-Pagán, entitled CÉNIT (Addendum).  Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ortiz-Pagán received degrees from the University of Puerto Rico and the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Rome. His images are about political events in the last 40 years and how industrial systems have displaced people. He was awarded the Carlos Marichal award on Printmaking. This event is free and open to the public.
Breathe Easy... The Trees Are Coming!
 
On November 19, PHS Tree Tenders and volunteers will plant about 435 trees in Philadelphia and another 530 trees in Southeast Pennsylvania!  Friends of Schuylkill River Park Tree Tenders will be planting 11 of those trees! If you'd like to help, email Susan Kahn at susan.v.kahn@gmail.com

Become a Tree Tender! The PHS Tree Tenders® course offers hands-on tree care training for residents and covers tree biology, urban stress on trees, tree identification, tree planting, community organizing, tree pruning, and root care.
