SOSNA Board Nominations TOMORROW

Friends & Neighbors, 
TOMORROW! If you know someone who's been active in the community and would have a positive impact on the neighborhood nominate them, or yourself, for the SOSNA Board of Directors. Nominations can be made in person at the September General Meeting, September 14th at 7pm at the SOSNA office. The September Zoning Committee Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 21st. Please see below for the agenda.

The next SOSNA Zoning Committee meeting will take place at the SOSNA office, 1901 Christian Street, at 7PM on September 21, 2016.
The SOSNA Zoning Committee always meets the third Wednesday of every month starting at 7 PM.
 
 
September 21, 2016 SOSNA ZONING AGENDA :
1. 615 S 16th Street- The erection of a single story addition at the rear.
2. 2401 Madison Square- The application for a two-family dwelling in a single family zoning district. 
3. 2042 Pemberton Street- The erection of a three-story single-family home with roof deck and pilot house. 
4. 2102 South Street- The legalization of a four-unit residential structure in a CMX-2 (commercial) zoning district. 
5. 1536 Catharine Street- The application for a three-family dwelling in an existing structure.

On September 14, 2016, during the monthly General Membership Meeting, SOSNA will be soliciting nominations from neighbors for candidates for the SOSNA Board of Directors. Please join us on September 29th at the Bainbridge Club for the Roast and Toast of Lauren Vidas! SOSNA's fearless leader, Lauren Vidas, is nearing the end of her reign as the organization's Board Chairwoman. For the past six years (Yes, 6 YEARS!) Lauren has dedicated hundreds of hours to community meetings, clean ups, neighborhood events, block parties, and SOSNA projects, most notably Carpenter Green.

Attention SOSNA members! Come out and vote to elect up to 5 new members of the SOSNA Board of Directors! Nominations were accepted at the September 9, 2015 General Membership Meeting. Details about the elections procedure and serving on the Board are below. The Elections will take place Tuesday, October 13th at Shiloh Baptist Church (2040 Christian St)! Polls will be open from 6:30pm-8:30PM, and the candidates will give their brief speeches at 7:30PM.
