Art Exhibition at Twenty-Two Gallery: "GEOLOGIC," by Andrea Krupp, Fri, 9/9 thru Sun, 10/9
Opening Reception, Friday, Sept. 9, 6PM
"Creating,
exhibiting, thinking and writing about my creative/human process are
acts that deepen my understanding of the "where," "when" and "why" of my
existence. In the face of the Universe, human existence on Earth barely
registers. But with the recognition of the current pressures on Earth
and all of its systems, with the recognition that we are living in the
Anthropocene epoch, every human being must forge their own understanding
of the future. I hope that my work will open new perspectives on the
here and now and provoke questions about our future existence on Earth.
By reflecting on my experience of Place in Iceland, by reflecting on the
Geologic, I want to create images that evoke feelings of timelessness
and universality. I find solace in these silent meditations that anchor
the present to a beyond-human scale of time and place." - Andrea Krupp
