Philly Free Streets, Zoning and First Aid Supplies Drive Friends & Neighbors,  Philly Free Streets is coming to South Street on Saturday, September 24th! What does this mean? The entire length of South Street will be closed to vehicular traffic as part of a nine mile car-free route. Pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers, and strollers will be taking back the street from 8am - 1pm. For more info on the Open Streets PHL movement and this Philly Free Streets event, join us at an informational meeting, hosted by South Street West Business Association, at the Bainbridge Club (1523 Bainbridge) on Monday, July 18th at 6:30pm. RSVP here so we know you're coming.  Tonight we'll be at the Triangles Plaza for another FREE Thursday night concert. Stop by for dinner at the Local 215 Food Truck and get your groove on with Rick Lowenberg and his band Orbis. The music starts at 6pm, see you there! Events Zoning Committee Meeting The next SOSNA Zoning Committee meeting will take place at the SOSNA office, 1901 Christian Street, at 7PM on July 20, 2016. The SOSNA Zoning Committee always meets the third Wednesday of every month starting at 7 PM.     July 20, 2016 SOSNA ZONING AGENDA : 1. 615 S 16th Street: Partial demolition of current rear one-story addition and erection of new one-story rear addition. 2. 1913 Washington Avenue: Application for an adult day care center. 3. 2301 Grays Ferry Avenue: Erection of a three-story addition above an existing one-story commercial space, to be used as multifamily living (6 units), with roof deck.      News First Aid Supplies Drive Help to prepare our schools with everything they'll need for the school year! We're now collecting first aid supplies for our local public schools, please consider donating band aids, alcohol swabs, hand sanitizer, gauze, ice packs, combs, etc. (for the complete list, click here). Drop off donations at the Igloo, Rita's, the Quick Fixx or the SOSNA office. For the full list of dates, bands and food trucks, click here.    Events Philly Free Streets Informational Meeting Join us at the Bainbridge Club (1523 Bainbridge) on Monday, July 18th at 6:30PM for an informational meeting in anticipation of the upcoming Philly Free Streets Event (8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday September 24th) when the entire length of South Street will be closed to vehicular traffic as part of a nine mile car-free route.
