Saturday BBQ at Carpenter Green Friends & Neighbors, We hope to see you this Saturday at Carpenter Green for our Backyard BBQ. Stop by for a bite to eat, a brew, kids games and to learn about our plans to complete Phase 2 of the park! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors, leashed dogs are welcome, too.  Tomorrow at 6pm is the next Triangles Summer Music Series concert at the Plaza. Join us between 6pm and 8pm for music with Ben Karp and the Bombay Local Pizza food truck! News Chester Arthur Elementary Breaks Ground on New Schoolyard Great news about Chester Arthur Elementary! At a ground breaking ceremony on June 15th Principal Newman announced construction on the new schoolyard will begin in late June and the project will be completed by October 2016 through the award of a William Penn Foundation grant! Our new schoolyard will include interactive learning space for students and active community space for our neighborhood. Events Triangles Summer Music Series Thursdays and Sundays throughout the spring and summer we're bringing food, fun and MUSIC to the Triangles Plaza as part of our Triangles Summer Music Series. For the full list of dates, bands and food trucks, click here.    Events Cupcakes Classics & Couture: A Patriotic Afternoon with Marian Anderson Join the National Marian Anderson Museum as they welcome the nation during America's birthday weekend in the cradle of liberty for Cupcakes & Classics- an afternoon of divine live performances, and a lecture on priceless vintage Marian Anderson gowns by stylist to the stars Andre Miles Bond. Festivities also include a live art demonstration, great dessert & tapas bar and much more!   News CHOP Construction on the South Street Bridge At the end of May, the Schuylkill Avenue CHOP expansion project began construction on the garage entrance off of the South Street Bridge. The southern sidewalk will temporarily be closed and all pedestrians should use the northern sidewalk to cross the bridge. Chop will maintain one traffic lane and one bike lane in either direction for the duration of the construction. More detailed closures are listed below.    Events SOSNA Office Closed The SOSNA office will be closed for vacation starting on Thursday, June 23rd and will reopen on Thursday, June 29th.
