BEER! Need we say more? Click here for what'll be pouring at Grace Tavern.
GAMES! Dance the day away or get competitive, we'll have lawn (well, street) games all along Grays Ferry Ave.

Calling all gardeners, green thumbs, tree lovers, and those wanting to learn more about our urban landscape: sign up to become a PHS tree tender! You'll help lead street tree plantings, pruning events and have a hand in growing our urban tree canopy! The PHS Tree Tenders program offers hands-on tree care training for residents interested in greening their neighborhoods. Course content covers tree biology, identification, planting, proper care, and working within your community. Classes start Monday, May 9th, so hurry and reserve your spot!
In April, Councilman Johnson introduced a bill that would allow for the parcel at the northwest corner of Broad Street and Washington Ave to be redeveloped to include a commercial / residential project. SOSNA will hold a final community meeting on the proposed project on Monday, May 16th at 7pm at the SOSNA office. To view the most recent set of plans, click here.
The PHS Pop Up Garden is returning to South Street West for the summer 2016 season! But they need your help to get ready for opening day! PHS is looking for volunteers to help plant flowers (and tackle a few more hands-on projects like painting, mulching, and furniture placement) at our Pop Up Garden, located at 15th & South Street. For more info on volunteer shifts and how to sign up, click here.
Our neighborhood public schools are in the spotlight for the South Philly School Tour on May 17th. Local business owners and realtors are invited to tour four schools, west of Broad Street, to check out and all of the great programs, clubs, teachers and leaders they have to offer!
