This Weekend: Clean Up, Bike Registration & Sprung! Friends & Neighbors,  Making plans for this Saturday? There's lots to do in and around our neighborhood: 1. Wake up and lend a hand during the Philly Spring Clean Up! Here's a list of all of the blocks participating in South of South.  2. Bike over to Point Breeze CDC (20th and Federal) and register your bike with the 17th Police District's Bicycle Registry System between 10am-12pm. Our Safety Committee volunteers will be on hand to help you sign up and assign your bike an individual registration number.  3. Hit South Street West for the Sprung! Springtime Pub Stroll. Participating bars and restaurants will have food & drink specials from 1-7pm. So, treat yourself after a morning of cleaning and biking! ALERT: The Economic Development Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 14th has been canceled.  Events Zoning Committee Meeting The next SOSNA Zoning Committee meeting will take place at the SOSNA office, 1901 Christian Street, at 7PM on April 20, 2016. The SOSNA Zoning Committee always meets the third Wednesday of every month starting at 7 PM.     April 20, 2016 SOSNA ZONING AGENDA : 1. 2340 Catharine Street: Application for a second floor rear deck with off-street parking and roll up door below in existing rear yard.  2. 922 S 19th Street: Application for doggie day care, grooming and overnight boarding. 3. 1941 Bainbridge Street: Application for the erection of a side, one-story addition to an existing three-story single family home.  4. 753/755 S 17th Street: Application for the legalization of the increase (occupied area) of the building foot print and a first, second and third floor addition as previously approved.     Events Bike Registration Event - April 16th Have a bike? Want to register it with the 17th Police District as part of the Bicycle Registration system? We will be hosting a Bike Registration Event with our friends at Point Breeze CDC on Saturday, April 16th from 10 am to 12 pm to register your bike! Officers from the 17th Police District will be on-hand, as will members of the SOSNA Safety Committee to help you through the process.  Events Philly Spring Clean Up The Philly Spring Clean Up has been postponed until April 16th due to the weather. Our Clean Block Reps will still be cleaning up their respective blocks on either the 9th or the 16th.  Check out all of the blocks participating. The volunteer after party at Carpenter Green will be rescheduled for a later date in May. Instead, all volunteers should head down to South Street West for the Sprung! Pub Crawl after cleaning up on the 16th!   Events Sprung! on South Street West Hit the bars and restaurants of South Street West on Saturday, April 16th for the annual Sprung! Neighborhood Pub Crawl! Events SCP Spring Into The Arts Please join Stanton Community Partner for a fundraiser at NextFab on April 21st to support the school yard project at E.M. Stanton Elementary School! Tickets include beer, wine and refreshments, and an opportunity to bid on goodies from local businesses, artists and craftsman in a silent auction. To purchase your tickets, click here.    Events Spring Neighborhood Tree Planting April 23rd: The Southwest Center City Tree Planters will be planting trees on Saturday, April 23th at 9am and they’d love to have you join them! To volunteer meet the planters either at the parking lot at 22nd and Bainbridge Streets (for the west side planting), or at the SOSNA Office, 19th and Christian (for the east side planting).
