SOSNA February General Meeting: Taxes

Friends & Neighbors,
Join us on Wednesday, February 10th at Shiloh Baptist Church to talk taxes! We've invited the City of Philadelphia Revenue Department to explain all of the programs available and answer all of your questions. After the meeting, Revenue Department Staff will be on hand with applications to enroll eligible neighbors. Don't miss your chance to have all of your questions answered and sign up!
The SOSNA Board of Directors is now soliciting nominations to serve a two-year term on the SOSNA Zoning Committee.  Five (5) seats on the ten (10) member Committee are up for appointment.  Nominate yourself, nominate a friend, nominate a neighbor.  Anyone who lives, owns property, or runs a business in our neighborhood (between South Street, Broad Street, Washington Avenue, and the Schuylkill River) can be nominated.  The SOSNA Board will be making the appointments at the January 30 Board of Directors meeting, and newly appointed members would begin serving at the February Zoning Committee meeting.
Deadline to Apply:  Wednesday January 27 at 5 PM.  Submit to abbyrambo AT southofsouth DOT org
Please submit a short (~ one page) letter explaining why you want to be involved on the committee, relevant experience in zoning/development, ideas and thoughts about the Committee and how it functions, and anything else you want to convey to the Board that might bolster your case for being appointed.  Resumes/CVs are optional.  Contact SOSNA staff with any questions - 215-732-8446
This is your opportunity to help the City pick the best locations for a limited number of new transit shelters in the City of Philadelphia! Click here to vote and add new shelter locations to the South of South area.
Do you want to learn more about all of the City's tax relief programs? Join us on Wednesday, February 10th from 7-8pm for our general meeting on everything to do with taxes. Staff from the City of Philadelphia Revenue Department will be on hand to talk about different programs, answer questions and enroll eligible attendees.
SOSNA is out of recycling bins until the Streets Department makes a delivery in late January. You can always pick up a bin from one of the City's Sanitation Convenience Centers or use any container under 32 gallons, just mark it as 'recycling'.
