TONIGHT: National Night Out Friends & Neighbors,  Join SOSNA's Safety Committee tonight for National Night Out at Julian Abele Park from 6-8pm, and the South of South Town Watch for a patrol at 8pm. Meet the officers from the 17th Police District and tour a real fire truck! We'll be joined by Stanton Community Partners and the Friends of Chester Arthur, as well as a food cart. The weekly Farmers' Market is also taking place in the park today from 1-7pm. Stop by this afternoon and into the evening for some food and fun! On Thursday at 6:30pm, join us for the Community Impact Committee meeting. We're looking for more volunteers to help us plan SOSNA's community events! On Sunday, stop by the Triangles between 5-7pm for the Summer Music Series- Kids' Edition, we'll have kid-friendly music and a food truck! On Monday, August 10th stop by Catharine Park for FREE water ice and fro-yo pops! Please note: The SOSNA office will be closed for vacation from August 7th - August 18th. If you need assistance with a neighborhood issue please call 311. We hope to have recycling bins back in stock by the end of August.  Events Light Up the Night - National Night Out Event - Tuesday, August 4th The SOSNA Safety Committee is thrilled to announce the fifth annual Light Up the Night event on Tuesday, August 4th. This year we are celebrating National Night Out at Julian Abele Park (22nd & Carpenter/Montrose) from 6:00-8:00pm on the 4th. Events Triangles Summer Music Series- Kids Edition! On Sunday, August 9th we'll have a special kid's edition of the Triangles Summer Music Series! Bring the kids from 5-7pm for Cris & Lou and Pitruco's Pizza!  Events Triangles Summer Music Series Every Thursday night this summer come and enjoy live music, good food and meet your fellow neighbors at the Triangles Summer Music Series! Meet us at the Triangles Plaza (23rd and Grays Ferry Ave/South Street) starting at 6pm. Thursday, August 13th we'll have music by Dylan Taylor and food from the Whirly Pig food truck!
